Periodic checks of fire doors and closures must be carried out at least per year.
The installations, fittings and mechanical devices, automatic or not, put in place to allow the protection of the inhabitants of the buildings must be maintained and checked in such a way that the maintenance of their characteristics and their perfect functioning are ensured until the destruction of the said buildings.
Owners are responsible for ensuring that these maintenance and inspection obligations are fulfilled. They must be able to justify this, in particular by keeping a register.
