The purpose of smoke extraction is to extract a portion of the flue gases from combustion rooms in order to:
– make practicable the routes used for the evacuation and the intervention of the helpers;
– limit the spread of fire by evacuating heat, gas and unburnt to the outside.

After it is received and put into service, a smoke extraction system must be regularly maintained in order to be permanently in good working order .
